About Me

I am a licensed clinical social worker offering psychotherapy to adults and couples in Arizona. My work is grounded in licensed clinical practice and shaped by sustained training in psychotherapy, somatic approaches, transpersonal psychology, and contemporary neuroscience.

I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relational distress, life transitions, and patterns that have been difficult to shift despite insight or effort. Thoughtful, capable, and reflective, they nonetheless find themselves overwhelmed, disconnected, or caught in familiar loops. My role is not to fix, but to offer a steady, grounded presence and a way of working that includes guidance, structure, and care—supporting depth, safety, and meaningful change over time.

My clinical approach draws on Somatic Experiencing, Sandplay Therapy, attachment-based and trauma-informed psychotherapy, and contemporary neuroscience. I am trained in EMDR, the Gottman Method for couples therapy, the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), and the Tao of Trauma, emphasizing embodied presence, nervous system attunement, and working with trauma without force. I also have extensive training in the research on vulnerability, shame, and courage articulated by Brené Brown, which continues to inform my clinical sensibility—particularly around self-trust, emotional honesty, and relational repair.

My background in transpersonal psychology informs my respect for meaning, symbol, and the inner life, while remaining firmly rooted in ethical, evidence-based clinical practice. My work is also informed by long-term study in depth-oriented developmental psychology and nature-based understandings of maturation, which shape my respect for timing, belonging, and the nonlinear nature of change.

Alongside my clinical training, my work is informed by an ongoing Zen practice, which shapes how I attend to presence, pacing, and not-knowing in the therapeutic relationship.

I offer psychotherapy that is thoughtful, relational, and paced—guided by both clinical rigor and respect for the body’s adaptive intelligence, held in relationship with mind, meaning, and the worlds we live in. When helpful, we may work with sensation, imagery, or symbolic material, especially when words alone are insufficient.

I offer a free, confidential phone consultation for those who would like to explore whether this way of working feels like a good fit.
